One of the most suitable ways to find hoodia pills or other hoodia products is by referring to their reviews available online. There are many reputed online resources where experts share their views and opinions about hoodia products. However, there are some websites that review these products with the main intention to promote them. You must be careful while referring to the unbiased hoodia reviews. Take into consideration whether such reviews highlight the following 10 things or not.

Manufacturer Information

The first important piece of information that hoodia reviews must offer is the information about the manufacturers. As a buyer, you must be concerned to know about the hoodia product manufacturer and its reputation and history. These reviews should help you obtain sufficient information about the manufacturer so that you end up buying genuine and trustable hoodia products.

CITES Certification

The review must essentially mention the CITES (Convention of International Trade in Endangered Species) certificate issued for the hoodia product. It is an important certificate that the international trade authorities issue. It mentions the names of the product’s exporter and importer. This certificate is an important indication that you are purchasing a natural and legal hoodia product.

Certificate of Lab Testing

Hoodia products are tested and analyzed in the laboratories to ensure that they are safe. The hoodia review you are referring to must mention the name of the lab that has tested the product in question. Alkemists is one authorized laboratory which tests the hoodia products before they are sold in the market. Finding the mention of a reputed lab indicates the review is genuine and so is the hoodia product being reviewed.

Hoodia Product Ingredients

Another important thing to find in a hoodia review is the mention of various ingredients that the product contains. You must know that genuine hoodia products contain no other unnecessary ingredients and are 100% hoodia gordonii products. The review must provide information if the product being reviewed contains necessary or unnecessary ingredients so that you can take the right decision.

Who Can Use the Product?

Not every hoodia product may be suitable for you. Your age, for example, may be an important factor while choosing such a product. The level of your health problem and other medications that you already take are other countable factors in this direction. Going further, there are some hoodia products that may not be suitable for vegetarians. The review you read must provide information on the eligibility of the user.

Strength and Dosage

Do the hoodia reviews provide information about the strength of hoodia gordonii pills? It is worth mentioning that the minimum strength of hoodia products must at least be 400 mg. Moreover, the review must provide information about the recommended dosage of the hoodia product. It is an important piece of information so that you supply appropriate dosage of hoodia to your body.

Possible Side-effects

Though hoodia products are often counted among the safest herbal remedies, it is important that it is mentioned in the reviews you refer to. It may be the case for certain hoodia products that they may lead to few side-effects among some sets of individuals. Make sure that the review mentions the possible side-effects so that you can buy a product which is safe.

Pros and Cons

A hoodia review remains incomplete if it doesn’t highlight the pros and cons of the product. In fact, it is one good point to assess whether the review is unbiased evaluation or product or just a piece of writing for publicity. The main aim of the review should be to make the readers familiar with the possible advantages and drawbacks of the hoodia product so that the readers can easily compare various hoodia products.

Guarantees and Offers

Hoodia product manufacturers often provide money back guarantees with their products. Many of them go a step further to offer various special offers and discount deals on hoodia products. The reviews that you read should provide information on products guarantees and special offers. You must not hesitate to admit that these information pieces are important while choosing a hoodia product.

Buying Information

Considering the huge number of people selling fake hoodia products on the internet, it is important that you find a genuine source to purchase them. The hoodia reviews should provide link or information about the most creditable resource for buying the product being reviewed. In most of the cases, the manufacturers’ websites are the best sources to buy hoodia products and this should be clearly mentioned in the reviews.

The best idea is to read as many reviews as possible on the internet to adjudge the efficacy of various hoodia products. Remember that referring to the genuine reviews can contribute towards the benefits that you would achieve with the use of hoodia products.

Green tea is often one of the additional ingredients of many hoodia products. It has different benefits than does the hoodia gordonii.

Often the objective of combining these is that they can provide two different types of benefits. You can learn more below, so keep reading.

Green Tea

Green tea is one herb is something that does have some great benefits. It not only helps for weight loss but for your overall health.

That is part of the reason why this substance has been used in Asia for over 4000 years. That should tell you that there must be some truth to the claims that it can do great things for the body.

One of those things is that it helps boost fat loss. Besides this though, it is a source of antioxidants for the body.

Hoodia

This is a special plan that is used as a diet supplement that suppresses appetite. The best product used is that which has in it pure hoodia gordonii that has no filler.

The chemical responsible for suppressing appetite that is present in hoodia is the P-57 molecule. This is what sends a signal to the brain to help stop hunger.

Conclusion

Both green tea and hoodia together can help burn fat as well as help suppress appetite. Be careful though where you get your supplies of medications from. This is important.

You want the best and deserve to only use the best. The purest forms of both of these ingredients should be included if used together.

All hoodia does is suppress the appetite. It will not improve a bad diet nor will it address overeating problems. It works hand in hand with the right weight loss plan while using the appropriate exercise program.

If you are interested in using hoodia you might be wondering what it can do for you. You may also be wondering how it works and you just may have a number of general questions about it.

What is hoodia?

It is a type of succulent plan that grows in the South African Kalahari desert. The specific hoodia that is used in and as a diet supplement is hoodia gordonii.

What does it do?

This plant source is one that helps suppress appetite. A signal is sent to the brain that tells the person he or she is now full.

What are the best forms?

It helps to get the extract or the capsule. If you use the extract it should be diluted in a 7:1 ratio at least. It is however recommended that you find a solution that is as high as 20:1 ratio.

What should you know about buying a hoodia supplement?

Not all hoodia is created in the same way. Not all are of a high quality or made with the right portion of the hoodia plant.

Should users be warned of any concerns?

When using hoodia users should be warned about any concerns. One of the major problems is that it can be hard for people with an eating disorder to use it. It also usually is not recommended for people with diabetes.

Is the hoodia gordonii weight loss plan just a fad?

It might be considered as such since there is not much long-term scientific evidence to support it. However, there is historical evidence of this plant being used as a way to keep hunger at bay when food was scarce.

The SlimQuick product has produced mix reactions in consumers. User feedback is duly noted. This is done so that potential customers understand what it can/cannot do for a person.

The feedback you see below is divided into two categories-positive and negative. This should give you a more balanced view of SlimQuick.

Positive

As you can see the degree of positive comments ranges from excellent to mediocre. It helps to know and understand the range of positive outcomes it has on people. This shows how difference experiences are just totally different.

“SlimQuick Extreme did help me loose weight…”

“I have now started to take this and what i have found is that it speeds up my methabolic rate.”

“I have taken all of the slim quick products in the dosage amount suggested and have found that with a healthy diet and some exercise you can lose up 35 lbs.”

“This is my 5th day on SlimQuick and I’ve lost 6 pounds already.”

“I tried the regular SlimQuick formula and it worked at first, but although I ate little and exercised a lot, I only lost a total of 4 lbs in month.”

Negative

This section will show you that SlimQuick may just not be right for everyone. These are examples of times when people just did not experience the results hoped.

“Well I’ve been taking Slimquick extreme for about a week now…I haven’t seen any results!”

“I had to stop the product b/c it gave me way to much anxiety!”

“…I realize i can’t sleep properly, I am feeling very nervous.”

“This pill gives me crazy headaches!”

Warnings

Women who are pregnant should avoid taking SlimQuick. Hoodia as an ingredient in the pills can affect development of her fetus.

You should always make sure you understand what you are getting yourself into when you choose a product. This is important so that you can make sure you are not allergic to the ingredients in any way.

The list of ingredients for SlimQuick is quite long. Therefore, not all of the ingredients are going to be mentioned here, but rather a summary.

Of course, the main ingredient is the 100% pure South African hoodia gordonii that is present in it. Some of the additional primary natural substances in this product include as follows: Green tea, Caffeine, Yohimbine, Seaweed extract, and dandelion.

These as well as the many other natural ingredients located in this product provide a variety of dieting benefits to users. The hoodia is mainly for appetite suppression, but a variety of other ingredients listed provides this as well as a boost in metabolism.

Pros

The combination of ingredients in this product can provide for a more well-rounded and comprehensive experience. Users can take advantage of both the fat burning and appetite suppressing qualities of this product.

Furthermore, many of the all-natural ingredients used in this product have been tested for safety. Many ingredients in this product are very safe and very well-known for their effectiveness.

Cons

Many of the ingredients found in SlimQuick are stimulants, of which are mostly different forms of caffeine this stimulant-based formula may not be the best solution.

For instance, stimulants often have an negative effect on the body. Some of the symptoms caused by too much caffeine intake include the following: Nervousness, irritability, insomnia, increased heart rate, and hypertension.

Users taking Slimquick also may have in the past experienced dizziness and headaches. This is because some natural ingredients have an affect on people unlike others.

Conclusion

You should always know what you are getting yourself into when choosing a supplement. It helps if you know what the ingredients are and how they will affect you.

Of course if you are allergic to any of the ingredients you should probably not use SlimQuick. If you are just not sure about the ingredients then you should probably just ask your doctor about them.

The use of hoodia gordonii is a very controversial topic these days. The conflict surrounding the usage of it exists for many, many, reasons.

The most pressing concern is the conflicting research. Another concern is the lack of education regarding the use of hoodia gordonii and related supplements.

The best that can be done right now is to report the disadvantages and advantages of using it. This is based on the general experience of using hoodia in one or a variety of forms.

Advantages

Historical evidence of the effectiveness of the hoodia plant in delaying hunger is documented. It in fact was used as a much needed emergency supply of food. It was used to survive harsh desert conditions during times when food was not plentiful.

The indigenous tribes of South Africa also used hoodia gordonii on long hunting trips. It seemed to never fail as a way to curb hunger and it also helps quench thirst.

New ways of processing have made supplements made from this plant more widely available. More people from around the world can now experience the weight loss benefit by way of appetite suppression.

Disadvantages

Hoodia products often have an odor. In fact, one source says some of the hoodia supplements smell like rotten meat. Furthermore, although there is historical documentation of the success of this plant source curbing hunger, science is still behind.

For one, a wide array of supplements made from this plant are still not properly tested. If they are the results often are inconclusive. Certain supplements made with hoodia gordonii are also not very potent-not at all as potent as the aerial stems that are just harvested.

Conclusion

This is as best of a conclusion as can be given at the moment. You are responsible for your own choices when it comes to using various dietary supplements, including those made with hoodia gordonii.

If you want to learn more about hoodia-either in favor of it or against it-ask your doctor. It is not wise to start a new health supplement if you have not even had a doctor’s checkup in awhile.

Dieticians and nutrition specialists may also be a great source of help. Likewise, so would an herbalist or alternative medicine doctor. In the mean time you are recommended to just take as much of the hoodia gordonii as it says on the label and/or as much as usually is considered safe or effective (1,500 to 3,500 mg).

Hoodia gordonii first became popular in the late 1990s in the U.S. and other locations. It then grew even more prevalent as a weight loss aid after ephedrine products were banned.

However, recently is not the only time it had been used. It is documented at least orally that it was used as early as a few thousand years ago during ancient times.

The question remains regarding this plant source: if it is so effective why has it not been used as much during modern times as it was in ancient times?

The answer is that it is like that with just anything. Something that may be a “fad” one day may go out of style the next. One reason that hoodia gordonii was not used for a long time is perhaps because other types of weight loss and appetite suppression have taken its place.

The other answer may be that the original intent was not necessary for it to be used as a weight loss aid. Originally it was used to help stop hunger. However, that was not usually for the purpose of weight loss.

Rather, it was because hunters were taking long trips. Sometimes during these long trips food was sparse. Therefore, they needed to use something to hold them over-to ease the hunger pangs you probably could say.

However, some reports document that it was more than just a hunger stopper. It also was a thirst quencher. It at least gave the travelers the illusion they were not hungry or thirsty.

So what does that mean now? Well, further research is being done to figure out how healthy the use of hoodia gordonii may be. Further studies are also being conducted to ensure safety and effectiveness of the P57 in this plant that suppresses appetite.

For Consumers

People considering weight loss by way of using a hoodia diet pill or other diet supplement should seek the council of a qualified medical professional. This will ensure as safe of an experience as possible.

You should also know that enough Hoodia taken daily is needed to be effective-usually about 1,500 to 3,000 mg. You might also want to know that hoodia liquid forms cost considerably more than solid pills.

However, the liquid hoodia supplements allow the body a higher percentage of product digestion and usage in contrast to solid pills. The result is enhance effectiveness and greater chance of weight loss.

In recent years hoodia usage is said to be attributed to quite a bit of hype and hoopla. Some of this is blamed on media and some of this is blamed on advertisers.

The hugest criticism of all is that very little science supposedly backs up the usage of hoodia gordonii and supplements that are made from this plant. It may be a good idea to explore for a second why so much controversy surrounds the usage of this plant or parts of this plant as a weight loss aid.

This controversy could be for one or more of the following reasons:

Rash judgments based on inconclusive research either showing evidence for or against hoodia usage

Imbalance of research emphasis: Scientific studies taking prevalence over historical usage evidence

Discounting of individual consumer experience

A general skepticism either by the consumer or by health experts

Generalized fears stemming from past uses of fatal or harmful weight loss herbs/plants

Bad experiences stemming from improper or excessive use

Inadequate education about possible contraindications of health conditions when hoodia is used

Difficulty and expense of researching a plant source that does not mature for five years

Lack of information about benefits vs. drawbacks

There are so many reasons why the usage of hoodia gordonii as a weight loss aid is such a controversy. One thing people have to remember is the scare that took place before this particular plant source became popular.

To make matters worse, there does not seem to be very much information in medical journals indicates that hoodia is able to suppress appetite in humans. This probably is because not many human studies have been conducted.

Most of the studies pertaining to appetite suppression and hoodia are administered on lab rats. Now, these are animals that often have been used as subjects of studies to find out what the affect would be on humans.

However, there is no way to predict that activity that takes place on a small lab animal would be the same as on a human. This is sometimes what makes studying herbs and medicines very difficult.

Side Effects Info

Does hoodia have side effects? That is a huge question being asked today. Long-term positive and negative side effects are not yet fully understood. There is one concern that remains at the forefront today.

That is the possibility that using a hoodia supplement could cause a diabetic’s blood sugar to fluctuate or skyrocket. It also is suggested that supplements made from this plant source are not meant for people with severe liver problems.

One thing that can help confirm the validity of claims about a new dietary supplement ingredient is media coverage. This is not always going to convince people but it does in some ways help if there is more than one source out there that claims something is true.

News Coverage

Various reports about hoodia gordonii have been generated by the following major news venues: ABC, BBC, CBS, and National Geographic. Other reports also have shown up on the Oprah Winfrey Show, the Today Show, and on 60 Minutes.

Granted, not all the reports that were issued had all positive things to say. However, among all these stations as well as others you can gain as much knowledge about this plant source as possible.

Sometimes the reports that were made questioned how valid claims were about hoodia gordonii effectiveness. Various aspects of weight loss such as that of fighting fat and suppressing appetite were explored in some of these reports, as well as others made.

It would do you well to go back and review some of these media reports if you have not done so already. Quite a few of them for sure have been presented from the year 2003 to present.

More Recently

Sometimes concerns are related to forms of hoodia. For instance, a 2010 report indicates that dietitians are wary of a cubed-shaped hoodia form. However, at the same time ABC reports of a woman who had lost 20 pounds in 3 months using this product.

In spite of this progress, there still is quite a bit of leeriness behind the use of this frozen hoodia ice cube supplement. There still is concern about the lack of evidence backing the effectiveness and safety of using any type of hoodia gordonii product.

Still to date the most prevalent evidence in the media lies within individual stories of this supplement’s effectiveness. This along with historical data is currently the best choice of information regarding usage of the gordonii species of this type of plant.

More about the cubed-shaped hoodia: It comes frozen. You can order it on the internet that way. You can put it in a glass of water or juice to keep it cold. Yet at the same time you can experience the appetite-suppressing benefits of the hoodia that makes up this frozen ice cube.

More Info

It is only the gordonii species of the hoodia succulent plant that has this appetite suppressant enzyme (P57) in it. Forms of this plant source and/or enzyme are found in many pills, teas, powders, extracts, snacks, juices, candy, and even lip gloss.

There are many hoodia research complications. This could actually be for a variety of reasons.

One of the reasons that hoodia research is so very challenging is because it takes quite awhile for the plant that it is harvested from to mature (about five years). According to some reports, it is the flowering portion of the hoodia gordonii plant that is most effective.

However, the ability to research the effectiveness of hoodia as an appetite suppressant is not totally hopeless. Obtaining facts about the working power of this plant is possible even though some news sources attribute news about this place to an overabundances hoopla but very little science.

The most substantial proof of its working power is in how it curbs a person’s appetite. This has been documented in several ways. For instance, you may have seen many times in the media the story of how reporters have gone on excursions to South Africa.

One news reporter for sure has tried it first hand. Some others since then have then more likely followed suit. However, the one media presentation you hear about most often is the one that 60 Minutes had presented a few years back.

This 60 Minutes report is one that is most in favor of hoodia gordonii. Again, since it takes so long for the plant to mature researching its effects is very challenging. This leads into the next challenge about hoodia research.

It is very expensive. Of course, that is the case with any clinical trial. However, the complication of waiting for the plant to mature with the expense of research it just makes matters doubly difficult.

Another Answer

One of the most prevalent proofs of the hoodia gordonii effectiveness is its historical use. In fact, this is often the case. History often is far more advanced than science-as far as research is concerned anyway.

Along those lines, you should know that the history of indigenous tribes such as the ones located in South Africa was passed to later generations orally. What took place in early times was often not written down.

Still, the story was told and the fact that it was told orally does not necessarily make it any less accurate. Mistakes in writing could have been made just as well.

As it turns out, many reports indicate the use of hoodia gordonii as an appetite suppressant. You may have even heard the story. You may have heard that hunters used it on long trips when food was sparse.
