The most authentic supply of hoodia gordonii comes from the aerial stems of this succulent plant. Usually it is found in South Africa. The main purpose of it is to suppress appetite, and it is only one species of this type of plant that has the P57 enzyme in it.

What this substance will NOT do is this…

• It will not instantly correct years of bad eating habits. You still have to deal with the psychological addiction to food.
• Hoodia supplements are not going to correct eating disorders. In some cases, they can intensify an eating disorder, particularly anorexia nervosa. If a person is starving him/her self using an appetite supplement is dangerous.
• There is no way that a hoodia supplement is going to cause you to instantly lose weight. In fact, it is unhealthy to try to lose too many pounds at once.

Of course, you need to verify this information and at this time, I have not found verification of their certification to sell hoodia gordonii. However, this does not mean it is not a legitimate product. It just means that the C.I.T.E.S. certificate normally associated with authentic products that have this plant source in them is not posted online.

The best way to verify this product would be to call the manufacturer if you can even find a customer service number. You may be able to find out information about the supplier.

My personal opinion, which I do not always include in these reviews, is I would not really want to buy this product. It would be hard for me to invest in it as cheap as it is (only about $38.00 a bottle) if I do not even know if it really has authentic hoodia in it.

On the brighter side, this product does have some very useful ingredients in it that help increase energy levels and boost metabolism. These ingredients include as follows: ginseng, grapefruit seed extract, citrus pectin, and soluble fiber.

In addition to increase in energy and metabolism, this product does have one other benefit. It helps clean out your digestive system.

Concerns

Supplies of hoodia used in Nutrithin have not been approved by the FDA. Some scientific studies have been conducted on animals, which prove there are some appetite suppressant capabilities of the P57 enzyme of this drug.

However, there has been no documented scientific evidence regarding the use of this enzyme on humans. Therefore, its effectiveness is not scientifically confirmed.

On the other hand, the effectiveness of this herb is confirmed in other ways. For one, it is historically documented that South African bushman tribes used in on long journeys to curb hunger between meals.
