All hoodia does is suppress the appetite. It will not improve a bad diet nor will it address overeating problems. It works hand in hand with the right weight loss plan while using the appropriate exercise program.

If you are interested in using hoodia you might be wondering what it can do for you. You may also be wondering how it works and you just may have a number of general questions about it.

What is hoodia?

It is a type of succulent plan that grows in the South African Kalahari desert. The specific hoodia that is used in and as a diet supplement is hoodia gordonii.

What does it do?

This plant source is one that helps suppress appetite. A signal is sent to the brain that tells the person he or she is now full.

What are the best forms?

It helps to get the extract or the capsule. If you use the extract it should be diluted in a 7:1 ratio at least. It is however recommended that you find a solution that is as high as 20:1 ratio.

What should you know about buying a hoodia supplement?

Not all hoodia is created in the same way. Not all are of a high quality or made with the right portion of the hoodia plant.

Should users be warned of any concerns?

When using hoodia users should be warned about any concerns. One of the major problems is that it can be hard for people with an eating disorder to use it. It also usually is not recommended for people with diabetes.

Is the hoodia gordonii weight loss plan just a fad?

It might be considered as such since there is not much long-term scientific evidence to support it. However, there is historical evidence of this plant being used as a way to keep hunger at bay when food was scarce.

The SlimQuick product has produced mix reactions in consumers. User feedback is duly noted. This is done so that potential customers understand what it can/cannot do for a person.

The feedback you see below is divided into two categories-positive and negative. This should give you a more balanced view of SlimQuick.

Positive

As you can see the degree of positive comments ranges from excellent to mediocre. It helps to know and understand the range of positive outcomes it has on people. This shows how difference experiences are just totally different.

“SlimQuick Extreme did help me loose weight…”

“I have now started to take this and what i have found is that it speeds up my methabolic rate.”

“I have taken all of the slim quick products in the dosage amount suggested and have found that with a healthy diet and some exercise you can lose up 35 lbs.”

“This is my 5th day on SlimQuick and I’ve lost 6 pounds already.”

“I tried the regular SlimQuick formula and it worked at first, but although I ate little and exercised a lot, I only lost a total of 4 lbs in month.”

Negative

This section will show you that SlimQuick may just not be right for everyone. These are examples of times when people just did not experience the results hoped.

“Well I’ve been taking Slimquick extreme for about a week now…I haven’t seen any results!”

“I had to stop the product b/c it gave me way to much anxiety!”

“…I realize i can’t sleep properly, I am feeling very nervous.”

“This pill gives me crazy headaches!”

Warnings

Women who are pregnant should avoid taking SlimQuick. Hoodia as an ingredient in the pills can affect development of her fetus.

You should always make sure you understand what you are getting yourself into when you choose a product. This is important so that you can make sure you are not allergic to the ingredients in any way.

The list of ingredients for SlimQuick is quite long. Therefore, not all of the ingredients are going to be mentioned here, but rather a summary.

Of course, the main ingredient is the 100% pure South African hoodia gordonii that is present in it. Some of the additional primary natural substances in this product include as follows: Green tea, Caffeine, Yohimbine, Seaweed extract, and dandelion.

These as well as the many other natural ingredients located in this product provide a variety of dieting benefits to users. The hoodia is mainly for appetite suppression, but a variety of other ingredients listed provides this as well as a boost in metabolism.

Pros

The combination of ingredients in this product can provide for a more well-rounded and comprehensive experience. Users can take advantage of both the fat burning and appetite suppressing qualities of this product.

Furthermore, many of the all-natural ingredients used in this product have been tested for safety. Many ingredients in this product are very safe and very well-known for their effectiveness.

Cons

Many of the ingredients found in SlimQuick are stimulants, of which are mostly different forms of caffeine this stimulant-based formula may not be the best solution.

For instance, stimulants often have an negative effect on the body. Some of the symptoms caused by too much caffeine intake include the following: Nervousness, irritability, insomnia, increased heart rate, and hypertension.

Users taking Slimquick also may have in the past experienced dizziness and headaches. This is because some natural ingredients have an affect on people unlike others.

Conclusion

You should always know what you are getting yourself into when choosing a supplement. It helps if you know what the ingredients are and how they will affect you.

Of course if you are allergic to any of the ingredients you should probably not use SlimQuick. If you are just not sure about the ingredients then you should probably just ask your doctor about them.

In recent years hoodia usage is said to be attributed to quite a bit of hype and hoopla. Some of this is blamed on media and some of this is blamed on advertisers.

The hugest criticism of all is that very little science supposedly backs up the usage of hoodia gordonii and supplements that are made from this plant. It may be a good idea to explore for a second why so much controversy surrounds the usage of this plant or parts of this plant as a weight loss aid.

This controversy could be for one or more of the following reasons:

Rash judgments based on inconclusive research either showing evidence for or against hoodia usage

Imbalance of research emphasis: Scientific studies taking prevalence over historical usage evidence

Discounting of individual consumer experience

A general skepticism either by the consumer or by health experts

Generalized fears stemming from past uses of fatal or harmful weight loss herbs/plants

Bad experiences stemming from improper or excessive use

Inadequate education about possible contraindications of health conditions when hoodia is used

Difficulty and expense of researching a plant source that does not mature for five years

Lack of information about benefits vs. drawbacks

There are so many reasons why the usage of hoodia gordonii as a weight loss aid is such a controversy. One thing people have to remember is the scare that took place before this particular plant source became popular.

To make matters worse, there does not seem to be very much information in medical journals indicates that hoodia is able to suppress appetite in humans. This probably is because not many human studies have been conducted.

Most of the studies pertaining to appetite suppression and hoodia are administered on lab rats. Now, these are animals that often have been used as subjects of studies to find out what the affect would be on humans.

However, there is no way to predict that activity that takes place on a small lab animal would be the same as on a human. This is sometimes what makes studying herbs and medicines very difficult.

Side Effects Info

Does hoodia have side effects? That is a huge question being asked today. Long-term positive and negative side effects are not yet fully understood. There is one concern that remains at the forefront today.

That is the possibility that using a hoodia supplement could cause a diabetic’s blood sugar to fluctuate or skyrocket. It also is suggested that supplements made from this plant source are not meant for people with severe liver problems.

When using hoodia diet pills remember moderation is a key factor that contributes to weight loss success. You also need to understand the role of weight loss supplements in order for any product to work for you.

The correct use of hoodia diet pills is to help enhance a current exercise and diet plan. If you do not have a regular workout routine scheduled you should plan one right now. Take an aerobics class, go running for bit before work, or join a sports’ team.

In addition to the exercise program you implement, you should also eat a balanced meal. This will enhance the appetite suppressant power of the hoodia gordonii.

Above all of that, remember that the use of hoodia diet pills is not meant to encourage crash dieting. It is not healthy to try to lose more than a few (or two) pounds per week. If you are shedding pounds faster than two to three pounds per week it can cause problems.

It also can cause great disappointment. You may gain it all back because once the crash diet is over you are back to the way you were. Hoodia products are not meant to be used for this purpose.

Be careful also if you are a person who has had a past history of starving yourself. The same applies to individuals who may have been bulimic and have a tendency to binge and purge.

If you have had any eating disorder whatsoever generally speaking hoodia diet pills are not for you. If you have never had an eating disorder then you can use these supplements to help you control your weight but it will also take discipline and dedication.

With that in mind, only use the amount of diet pill that you are told to take. This will ensure that you do not put too much or too little of the hoodia in your system.

There is no official standard as to what is effective. However, as a general rule of thumb about 1,500 mg is on the low end of the hoodia effectiveness scale.

Maybe you can start out with 700 mg and work up from there. Eventually, you may even take as high of a dosage as 3,500 mg but be very careful and monitor yourself closely for any changes.

If you have any health concerns pertaining to usage of hoodia diet pills ask a professional. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Propagation is the act of reproducing something. It is a challenge to get a license to propagate hoodia gordonii, but it can come into fruition.

The hoodia gordonii supply that has been studied and chosen for the use of appetite suppression originates in Council for Scientific and Industrial Research in South Africa. This is the only supply of a complete genus of hoodia succulent plants that has this P57 molecule.

Reason for Strict Control

The reason for such strict control over the hoodia gordonii plant is because governments of Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa agree it is for the best. This is because there is only a limited supply of this plant available and there are only a few safe and ethical ways to harvest it. It helps protect all the species of hoodia plant.

Harvest Requirements

A valid C.I.T.E.S. certificate is needed, which is a type of license that helps protect wild plants. Another certificate is needed that is provided by the National Department of Agriculture-a phyto-sanitary certificate.

These licenses are also part of the requirement for export of hoodia gordonii out of South Africa. This is considered the only official appetite suppressant source.

Natural Propogation

The only way this is done naturally of course is by the force of the wind. This is a totally separate process which involves local reproduction of h. gordonii within a specific geographical location.
